The first of what we hope will be many Family and Fútbol gatherings was a total hit!
We warmed up with volley-fútbol and then formed 4 rotating teams on two small fields. People of all ages joined in the fun an we even recruited some new players!
After we were all good and tired, we gathered to eat. People brought guacamole, chips, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, bubbly waters to share while some of the community leaders slow cooked sausage, carne asada, and a garbanzo version of pozole!
It was all delicious, the sun, the fun, the food and the company.
If you missed it, our hope is to do another before the summer ends, so stay tuned.
